DAV Centenary Public School, Phillaur organized Global Vote 2012. About 1300
students participated in the Global Vote for the world’s children prize for the
rights of the child. WCPRC is based on
the UN Child Convention and strengthens voices of children, connecting them
together across countries and continents and helps them to demand honour for
the rights of the child. It holds an
annual vote for global candidates who have made magnificent contribution to
protect and promote the rights of the children. Children cast their votes with
zeal and enthusiasm. Students from third
to +1 Std. took part in the global vote.

SALAD MAKING COMPETITIN
SALAD MAKING COMPETITIN
On 17th April, 2012, DRV DAV Centenary Public School, Phillaur celebrated ‘Health Day’. All the students of Class-V participated in Salad Making Competition and presented beautifully decorated salad plates. Winners were awarded with certificates. Principal Yogesh Gambhir addressed the students and told them the importance of green salad in our life. It increases the immunity of our body and keeps us fit.

WORLD BOOK DAY
DRV DAV Centenary Public School,
Phillaur celebrated World Book Day to get the children excited and enthusiastic
about the books. Students from Nursery
to +2 Standard participated in it. A
special programme was organized in which students performed themselves as books
of different authors and poets. They
spoke about the books. A Book Fair was
also organized to encourage the students to explore the knowledge about
literature and inculcate the reading habits among them. Students really enjoyed the day and came out
with a new desire of reading books for pleasure.
HAWAN PERFORMED
DRV DAV Centenary Public School, Phillaur organized a ‘Hawan’ on 2nd April, 2012 to commemorate the very first day of the new academic session to seek blessings of the Almighty for bright future of the students and tremendous development of the institution. Students from Nursery to 12th Std. participated in it. Prasad was distributed among the students and staff members. Yogesh Gambhir, Principal of the School extended his warm welcome to the new students and encouraged them to work hard.
