Baisakhi Fair Held

To acquaint the students with Punjab’s most famous Fair Baisakhi, DRV DAV Centenary Public School, Phillaur organized a fair with zeal and enthusiasm on 23rd April, 2014.  On this occasion, students presented various cultural programmes like Gidha, Bhangra, Solo Song and school students dressed as Punj Pyare came on the stage.  Some teachers also presented their  views about Baisakhi.  Fair was an amalgam of swings, fun games and eatable stalls.  Students enjoyed fund game, swings and ate their favourite eatables.  They danced happily.  The school ground was depicting a beautiful view of Baisakhi.  Yogesh Gambhir stated that festivals are the symbol of unity and brotherhood in the society.  They teach us to share the happiness and joy.  He congratulated all and said that we should celebrate the fair and festivals whole-heartedly.
