AD MAD SHOW OF CLASS X

DRVDAV School Phillaur organized a House wise  Ad Mad Show to provide a Platform to the students to showcase their talent on 29th July, 2016.  All were given the topic   ‘Increasing Impact of Advertisement’ on the  people. Students of 10th std. participated in it. All the Houses performed very well. They presented humorously and conceptually by giving the message of purchasing the products wisely. Yogesh  Gambhir, Principal appreciated the students for their brilliance performance and told the importance of conducting such kind of activities. He gave away the prizes to the winners and congratulated them. The result in different catagories is as follows :
First Prize       Unity House
Second           Honesty House
Harjas Singh, Pankaj ,Harman and Vansh were given away the prizes for good acting.

FRESHERS’ PARTY

A grand freshers’ party was organized by the senior students of  DRV DAV Public School  to extend a warm and hearty welcome to their juniors of 11th std. This party was organized in the kids block. Students performed Bhangra, Choreography, dance and group song. Students exhibited their talent through fun games and enjoyed a lot in the party.  Mrs. Neeraj Gogna and Mrs. Itee were the judges.  According to their judgements, various titles were given to the students. Paras Dhingra was adjudged as Mr. Handsome and Lovepreet Suman was adjudged as Mrs. Charming. Karanjit and Ruchita Bajaj were given the title of Mr. and Miss Well Dressed.   Vivek Singh and Riya Gambhir were chosen as Mr. & Miss Perfect.  Sumptuous food was served to the students and teachers. Yogesh Gambhir Principal of the school welcomed the students and congratulated them for their efforts.

SAHODYA QUIZ COMPETITION

 Students of  DRV DAV Public School, Phillaur participated  in Sahodya Maths and Science Quiz Competition organized by Ivy World School, Jalandhar. To show their talent,  28 schools of the district participated in it.  During this quiz, the students had to go through five stages.  Questions were asked related to Science and Maths, QuizApp was used.  Zorawar Singh, Sahodya Chairman  was specially present on the occasion to encourage the children.  DRV DAV Centenary Public School, Phillaur stood first.  Innocent  Heart School got second position while Army School Jalandhar bagged third position.   Yogesh Gambhir, Principal of the school  congratulated the students and said that students  learn to face the world by participating in such kinds of competitions .

SPLENDID RESULT OF CLASS XII

The CBSE Grade 12th Result was declared on 21st May, 2016.  The students of DRV DAV Centenary Public School, Phillaur blaze a trail of splendid results this year too.  The result of the school is 100% in a row. Shehnaaz pursuing medical stream and Avita Commerce Stream got 94.6% marks. Nisha Bhatia pursuing non- medical stream secured 94% marks. Sixteen students  got more than 90%,while 44 students scored more than 80% marks .Highest marks in Painting and Music are 100%, whereas 99% are the highest marks in IP. In Maths , Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Accountancy and Business Studies highest marks are 95%.    Yogesh Gambhir, Principal of the School congratulated the students  to bring laurels to the school and wished for their bright future. He appreciated the teachers for their efforts and hard work .PP Sharma, Regional Director conveyed her best wishes for their remarkable performance and  brilliant success in future. S.k. Malhotra, Chairman of the school congratulated   and urged the students to proceed in their life with hard work and  commitment . Students thanked the Principal & Teachers for their encouragement and special contribution in their outstanding success.

EXCELLENT RESULT OF CLASS X

The CBSE Grade 10th Result was declared on 28th May, 2016. The students of DRV DAV Centenary Public School, Phillaur blaze a trail of splendid results this year too. The result of the school is 100% in a row. 150 student appeared in the Exams., 31 students got 10 CGPA, 42 students 9.8 and above CGPA, 54 students secured 9.4 and above CGPA, 60 students got 9.2 and above CGPA, Yogesh Gambhir Principal of the School congratulated the students for their remarkable performance and wished them to bring laurels to the school in future also.

Won City round of CBSE Cryptic Crossword Contest,2016

City round of CBSE Cryptic Crossword Contest 2016 coordinated by Extra C was held at DPS Ludhiana on 29th April 2016. Sehaj Malhotra & Rahul Lakha of X standard brought laurels to the school by winning City round.

Graduation Ceremony for Class UKG

In DRV DAV Centenary Public School, Phillaur a graduation event was conducted for the students of UKG. The chief guest of the event was Dr. Lakhwinder Kaur of Sant Mohan Dass School, Jalandhar. The students fascinated everyone with their performances. Students were given away degrees, trophies and awards. Their parents were looking very happy and excited. The chief while addressing the audience said that the parents and school have to coordinate for the better future of the students. Only in this way we can create a wonderful future of the country.

Celebration of Earth Day

Earth day was celebrated in DRV DAV Centenary Public School, Phillaur, to create awareness among the people for the conservation of our planet. The students of class I participated in poetic recitation based on the theme of increasing pollution over the earth, enrichment of the planet and to keep equilibrium in the environment. The students of class IV and VIII participated in essay writing completion based on ‘No Use of Plastic Bags’. Students put forward their views on the dangers and problems created by the use of plastic and its solution. Principal Mr. Yogesh Gambhir gave away prizes to the winners, and opined that human life is feasible only through environment conservation. Celebration of Mahatma HansRaj Day

DRV DAV Centenary Public School, Phillaur, celebrated birthday of Mahatma Hansraj on 19th April, 2016. Different activities were held on this occasion. On this event a special morning assembly was organized in which, Students were made acquainted with Mahatma Hansraj’s life, works and his ideals through speeches, songs and poems. Poster making as well as essay writing competition were held to mark this day. Mr Yogesh Gambhir, principal of the school, opined that one should get inspiration from the ideals and austere life of Mahatma Hansraj. The result of the competition is as follows: 1. Celebration of Women Day

DRV DAV Centenary Public School, Phillaur celebrated ‘International Women’s Day’ DRV DAV Centenary Public School, Phillaur celebrated International Women’s Day on March,9, 2016 in a different manner like every year. On this occasion the female faculty participated in Modelling and presented Choreography based on old and new Bollywood songs. Ms. Shweta (Psychologist, Meditation Guru and Spiritual Healer) was the chief guest of the day. She emphasised on the values of self- love, generosity, honesty in order to grow mutual relationship and personality. She said only through this way positive environment can be created in the society and country. Principal Mr. Yogesh Gambhir said if everyone tries to convert one’s efforts into reality, there wouldn’t be any sorrow or evil in society.

Republic Day celebrations in DRV DAV School, Phillaur

Republic day was celebrated in DRV DAV Centenary Public School, Phillaur on 25th January, 2016. On this occasion students created the fervour of patriotism by participating in singing, dancing and other cultural activities. Students shouted patriotic slogans by being the freedom fighters. On this occasion students were even asked the names of various freedom fighters who laid down their lives for the sake of their country. The very purpose of this was to create awareness among the students of our rich past. Principal Mr. Yogesh Gambhir hoisted the India flag and wished a very happy republic day to all. He explained the significance of the Indian tri colour and said that the Indian soldiers are always ready at the border so that they could protect the Countrymen to have a sleep of peace. He further said that they are ready to sacrifice their lives in order to promote peace which is a pre-requisite for prosperity.
