Two Days Capacity Building Training on- Differential Instructions and Assessment

Differentiated instruction is an approach to instruction in which the teacher adapts the content, process, and product of lessons in accordance with each student's readiness, learning style, and interests. In differentiated instruction, the learning goals are the same for the entire class, but the required tasks, instructional approach, and materials used vary according to the needs of the individual students. Differentiated instruction is not a single strategy, but rather an approach to teaching that incorporates a variety of strategies
Because "one size does not fit all," it is imperative that a variety of teaching strategies be used in a differentiated classroom like direct instruction, inquiry-based learning, cooperative learning based on grouping small teams of students heterogeneously according to ability, interest, background, etc.

SDGs
With the mounting environmental hazard being insurmountable, our nation India has been vehemently advocating the elimination of single-use plastic for long stint of time and our honourable Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi has on several international platforms underlined the significance of having a blanket ban on the use of all plastic products.
According to the Ministry of Environment affairs, about 20,000 tonnes of plastic waste is generated every day in the country, out of which only 13,000-14000 tonnes are collected. Therefore ,The FIT India Movement has been launched by the Hon’ble Prime Minister on 29th August, 2019. Inspired by honourable Prime Minister’s vision to make India Plastic free, DRV DAV Centenary Public School , Phillaur organised Fit India Plogging Run on 2nd October, 2019 to the areas contiguous to the school where the coterie of teachers and sweepers garnered plastic trash by visiting homes, streets and open spaces along the path of run. They made the public aware of the ill-effects of using plastic. They motivated the public that it‘s the time to say"goodbye" to single-use plastic and urged people to attempt curbing its use. They encouraged them to ban all types of plastic bags, thermocol disposable cutlery and discourage the use of artificial banners, flags, flowers, water bottles, plastic folders, etc. The Principal of the school, Dr. Yogesh Gambhir applauded the efforts of the teachers and claimed that it would be a befitting tribute to the Father of the Nation. Also, the teachers felt a sense of satisfaction after doing a little towards making their surroundings clean.
